Alongside the Savute Channel in the Chobe National Park is the extraordinary Belmond Savute Elephant Lodge. This luxurious safari camp is placed in a wonderful setting for guests to enjoy the many wildlife spotting opportunities of the region. 

The Belmond Savute Elephant Lodge was extensively refurbished and reopened in July 2018. The main lodge has beautiful interiors which are a combination of old-world colonial charm with extravagant soft furnishings. There is a viewing hide which is a great place to be at sunrise or sunset when not on game drives. The hide overlooks the watering hole which comes to life with resident elephants and other animals and is in a privileged position. During a stay here guests can enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, a bushmen painting and baobab tree viewing trip or bird watching.

There are just 12 suites at the Belmond Savute Elephant Lodge, these are set on raised platforms and perfect for couples. Each of these is with a four-poster bed, indulgent bathroom, generous sized outdoor lounge and private viewing deck. They are wonderfully romantic. The lodge caters for guests on a full board basis including local drinks and delicious freshly prepared meals. The evening meals can vary from excellent dinners in the main lodge to dining under the stars at the traditional outdoor Boma. 

The facilities of the Belmond Savute Elephant Lodge are perfect for indulging. Since the eco-friendly renovations the lodge has a bar area, spa and a fire pit with views across the Savute Channel. There is also a spacious decking area with plenty of reclining chairs around the swimming pool, perfect for a refreshing dip.
