A once in a lifetime opportunity, climbing to the Roof of Africa, to heights of 5,895m is a truly wonderful and unique holiday adventure. Opting for the Lemosho route gives the best mix of wondrous views and vistas, wildlife spotting opportunities and time for acclimatisation. This is the most scenic of Kilimanjaro’s ascents and quieter with a lower foot-fall. Ascend through the rainforest zone of the mountain up to 3,000m, then pass through the low and high alpine zones up to 5,000m before reaching the glacial zone where you will make your attempt on Kilimanjaro’s Uhuru Peak.
This fully supported trek has a high success rate and we use reputable and well established guides and porters offering good working conditions, who respect the mountain and invest in high levels of training and equipment as well as support for emergency situations. Whilst you might find cheaper options for climbing Kilimanjaro, we don’t believe in compromising on safety when attempting to climb Africa’s highest mountain. There is an option of extending your trek by an additional day to give extra acclimatisation time and opportunities take in the scenery.
Opt for standard, luxury or VIP camps and enjoy a night in town post-climb to rest weary legs – if can be surprising just how exhausting descending is, legs often need a night’s recovery and bodies appreciate the comfort of a hotel bed and a good night’s sleep.
