Botswana is a little different from some of the more highly tourist driven African countries as it typically offers excellent quality lodges and high quality safaris, albeit at a higher cost. Offering up a wonderful experience, there are fewer tourists and a sense of personal adventure when travelling in Botswana and many camps and lodges have a strong focus on conservation. With contrasting areas, Botswana has a lot more to see than a big game safari.
In Zambia, Victoria Falls, named after Queen Victoria, is one of the most remarkable attractions and the largest waterfall in the world. During the high season in April, 625 million litres of water falls down every second. For the more adventurous you can bungee jump off the Victoria Falls bridge or go white water rafting. For the more daring you can swim to Devil’s Pool on the edge of Victoria Falls.
