The Fish River Lodge is ideally located on the edge of the Fish River Canyon, a large nature park that is full of wildlife and flora. It is in a unique setting providing guests mesmerising views of the canyon and surrounding area. The Fish River Canyon is an excellent stop-over when heading from Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, to the Sossusvlei areas. The main lodge offers spectacular sunrise and sunset views as do each of the private chalets overlooking the 500 million year old canyon. 

The Fish River Canyon is famous for hiking and the lodge offers a range of guided and non-guided walks on trails that wind through the canyon giving a rare chance to explore this iconic setting. Guests can enjoy a bicycle ride or sundowner activities and drive through the vast canyon. 

The main lodge itself has a spacious dining and lounge area with an open fireplace which opens onto a large terrace with a swimming pool with sun loungers. These offer incredible views of the surrounding area. All around the lodge and the individual guest chalets are the local aloe trees and fauna found in the canyon that is native to the Namib desert. There is also plenty of local wildlife to see on your hikes and game drives from oryx to zebra and kudu you will be spoilt for choice.
