Located in the south of Namibia, Fish River Canyon is the largest canyon in Africa, with a huge ravine and Fish River cutting through the Canyon. Stunningly beautiful the canyon is the perfect spot from which to hike and take in the wonderful scenery.
Temperatures go to the unbearable in the summer months, with hiking advised between the months of May to September the winter months of Namibia. From multi-day hikes to shorter day routes there is challenge to be found within the Fish River Canyon.
From the Fish River Lodge stunning panoramic views stretch for miles with floor to ceiling windows sitting on the edge of the crater rim. From the Lodge you can explore the canyon either by day, or by a multi-day trek, swim in the permanent pools of the canyon and for those who want to sleep beneath the blanket of the stars the Fish River Lodge will happily accommodate.
