Four of our favourite new ski chalets
November 2, 2020
This chalet is one that seems to have been designed without any restrictions and reaches for the upper echelons of luxury in its design, facilities and service.
Chalet La Maison is an exclusive property which is not completely new in that it’s an 18th century townhouse located on the outskirts of Morzine in the hamlet of Montriond. However it has been completely refurbished, overhauled and redesigned without compromise. Retaining some of the original features and warmth of the chalet whilst adding in cutting edge modern technology.
With original timbers and brickwork sympathetically restored, this incredible chalet has certainly done the building justice and is a superb Alpine retreat. Le Boudoir on the first floor is a glass faced sanctuary of solace decorated in a chic style with soft lighting and inviting armchairs, ideal for taking a few minutes out from a busy day.
The floating wine cellar is a personal highlight, this is not so much a cellar but a glass bottomed room which overlooks the swimming pool so guests of the chalet can sit on one of the stools with a glass of champagne, wine or a signature cocktail and watch as others swim below.
The chalet also features six spacious en-suite bedrooms, indoor and outdoor hot-tubs, a steam room, massage treatment room and yoga and pilates studio. This is going to be an exceptionally popular chalet offering excellent service and fine dining so we would advise getting ahead of the curve and booking early!

There’s liberal use of pine and glass giving a Scandinavian feel to the chalet. The living room is flooded with light and is effortlessly stylish finished with a modern appeal.
Chalet L’Arpege sleeps up to 12 adults and two children across six en-suite bedrooms and has an indoor Jacuzzi and spa area, cinema room and games room with table football. The chalet comes with attentive service and hosts to look after guests throughout their stay as well as a chalet chef providing delicious culinary delights. This is another chalet which will require early booking to avoid disappointment.
