Located within the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve the Bateleur Safari Camp is excellently located and the ideal safari lodge for those looking to experience a true Timbavati safari. The Timbavati Private Nature Reserve is adjacent to the Kruger National Park and the Bateleur Safari Camp shares unfenced borders with the Kruger which is incredible for wildlife viewing. 

The Bateleur Safari Camp focuses on nature and offers safari game drives, guided bush walks and also the option for guests to learn the skills of bushcraft and survival from their guides. The camp is completely eco-friendly and aims to leave as small a footprint as possible. When the camp was built it was important to conserve the local area, no trees were disturbed during its construction and many more have been planted since completion. The Bateleur Safari Camp is luxurious whilst blending in with nature harmoniously. 

The primary aim of the camp is to offer guests a full and true safari experience. With eight safari units, each tastefully designed and all with furnished decks for viewing wildlife it is perfect for couples, families or groups. The main lodge offers riverbed views and from here guests can see elephants, buffalo and rhinos walking along the riverbed during the evenings, ideal for watching the sunset with a well earned drink accompanied by the local inhabitants.
