&Beyond Sossusvlei Desert Lodge is the epitome of luxury and is found in a private part of the NamibRand Nature Reserve. Incredibly located in one of the world’s oldest living deserts it is the largest nature reserve in Southern Africa. Surrounded by beautiful red and orange sand dunes the views are absolutely mesmerising. Especially idyllic at sunrise or sunset, the lodge also offers excursions including game drives, sundowner tours and for those over 16 years old quad biking through the desert.

The &Beyond Sossusvlei Desert Lodge provides a sumptuous retreat and an oasis of calm with just 10 majestic suites and one family suite all of which have seating areas, log fireplaces and large verandas with private swimming pools. The main lodge itself is spacious and calm and offers spectacular views of the Namib Desert. There is also a large terrace as well as viewing deck and expansive swimming pool area with sun loungers where guests can relax. Guests stay on a full board basis including all meals and local drinks. 

From the lodge guests can see some of the local wildlife, including oryx, mountain zebras, ostriches and springbok. The dining area has panoramic windows overlooking this incredible place and the extra touches such as the wine cellar and massage treatment room are spectacular. 

The &Beyond Sossusvlei Desert Lodge is eco-friendly and provides sustainability combined with indulgent luxury. There are solar panels to generate most of the energy for the lodge and the suites have rain showers for guests. For families there is the Star Dune Suite as well as the WILDChild Program which is full of activities and fun for children to learn about the surrounding environment. Children receive a WILDChild backpack with a scrapbook and goodies to keep them entertained and help them to record and remember their holiday fondly.
