Doro Nawas Camp is located in Damaraland, deep within the wilderness this lodge enjoys an elevated position overlooking the plains of the surrounding areas. It is excellently located for those looking for a desert safari experience or to see some of the more interesting geological formations in the local area. Guests staying here have easy access to The Petrified Forest and the San rock art at Twyfelfontein, Namibia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The camp is large and peaceful, spread out so that each guest has plenty of space, there is a well sized lounge and bar area as well as a terrace to enjoy the sunset views. Running their own game drives the Doro Nawas Camp guides will take guests out on safari to see the desert elephants or find the endangered rhinos. Guests can also head out on foot from the camp on a guided nature walk.
The Doro Nawas Camp sits in dramatic surroundings with views from the decking far reaching across the plains and in this part of Namibia you are fully immersed in the wilderness. This lodge offers romantic candlelit tables for two for dinner, a log fireplace for the cooler desert evenings as well as a swimming pool with sun loungers for the hotter days. It is the perfect setting for a sundowner after your safari game drive and an excellent place to relax.
The camp runs several different activities and guests generally stay on a full board basis including all meals and local drinks as well as twice daily game drives. The Doro Nawas Camp is also an eco-friendly camp and powered by hydropower so there are no carbon emissions produced from the camp. Water is heated by solar power and there is an osmosis filtration system so that guests can enjoy clean drinking water whilst staying here.
