Ongava Lodge, Namibia
4* lodge
The Ongava Lodge is located in a privileged setting within the Ongava Game Reserve located on the southern boundary of the Etosha National Park. Set on a ridge top with breathtaking views across the desert plains, the Ongava Lodge has a private floodlit watering hole which gives guests the opportunity to watch the local wildlife. There are elephants, giraffes and many other animals coming to the watering hole daily to drink.
The Ongava Lodge is a private camp and has just 14 chalets, each is adorned with luxurious furnishings, an en-suite bathroom and private viewing deck. The main lodge has a wonderful lounge and bar area with an outdoor terrace where guests can enjoy al fresco dining overlooking the desert pains. Guests generally stay on a full board basis which includes local drinks and two safari experiences such as game drives per day.
The wildlife spotting on offer is extensive, with experienced guides imparting local knowledge to ensure that guests enjoy a full safari experience. There are rhinos, lions, elephants and giraffes as well as lesser known and elusive animals such as the black-faced impala all within the reserve. For those looking to relax between game drives there is a swimming pool with sun loungers which is the perfect way to spend lazy afternoons. Additionally for guests on the sunset game drives the Ongava Lodge offers sundowners in the desert plains which are the best end to a day on safari.
