Three reasons to visit our three favourite French villas
March 4, 2021
France offers beautiful weather, glorious beaches, fine food and wine, not to mention picturesque countryside and spectacular villas. The past year is one that has been unprecedented and unfortunately will change travel in the near future. In light of current circumstances, villas are a desirable choice if you wish to stay within your bubble given the impact of Covid-19. If you choose a villa in France then it is easy to drive rather than fly to which is an added bonus.
One thing that we have been reminded of during the pandemic is that family, friends and spending quality time with loved ones is important. There is no better place to do this than in your home away from home, or in our case your own private villa. With villas offering excellent facilities from private swimming pools, playgrounds and tennis courts to outdoor pizza ovens and barbecues, we are spoilt for choice. We love holidays and a private villa is no exception. Villa holidays throughout Europe tend to be relaxed and you can enjoy the villa and surrounding area at your leisure.
We have a range of villas sleeping from six to 12 plus guests in a variety of French towns as well as across the globe. Our villa destinations in France are in a variety of locations, some are close to the purple lavender fields of Provence, others are close to the beaches of Cannes or the restaurants and bars found in St. Tropez – there is something for everyone. There is also the beauty of the French Alps where many chalets can be rented during the summer months, here there are many sports on offer such as mountain biking, hiking and white water rafting. The scenery is beautiful and the clean Alpine air is refreshing during the hotter summer months.
Three reasons why we would recommend a villa holiday are:
1. Privacy
In a villa you truly have a private and luxurious home for the week. Whether you want to have barbecues every day, lie in, teach your little ones to swim, dine inside or out, there’s plenty to do. With spacious gardens, private swimming pools and excellent kitchen facilities you can relax in your villa knowing that there are no other guests around. It is ideal for families looking to catch up and spend quality time together or groups of friends looking for a relaxing holiday.
2. Flexibility
By booking your villa you have complete flexibility, you can come and go as you please, invite friends over for dinner or have family members stay for a couple of nights. It is up to you to choose who, when and where. If you enjoy cooking up a storm on the barbecue, eating French cheese and fresh baguettes or dining out at the local restaurants, a villa holiday allows for each eventuality. Many of our villas also have gardens to wander around and play in and all of them boast private swimming pools.
3. A luxury villa can be cost effective
Picture a converted castle, barn or stone built French cottage in a beautiful setting with en-suite bedrooms, open-plan spacious and light kitchen and living rooms, a private pool, tennis courts, beach access, barbecues and al fresco dining. A group of friends or family staying in such a villa can be an incredibly cost effective way of staying in luxury. A villa holiday can also save you plenty of money to spend on eating out when you are there.
With this in mind we have selected three of our excellent French Villas which are perfect for Summer 2022. Many of these are already being booked for peak dates so it pays to plan ahead and book early if you want to have your first choice.
